Jolly Phonics Method!

Hi guys!!

Today I am going to show you the method we use in the school I am doing the period of practice.

It is called “Jolly Phonics”, and basically consists in learning how to write and read in English. They learn the 42 sounds (phonemes) of the English language, instead of the alphabet, using audiovisual resources, songs and gestures, which facilitate students learning the language in a funny and motivating way.
All the phonemes are linked to a gesture. They learn the phomenes in 7 diferent groups, in this order:

Furthermore there is a group of words called "Tricky words", which are classified in 6 coloured groups:

The utilization of Jolly Phonics since 1^st of Nursery Education could solution many of the habitual problems like:

-          Correct pronunciation from the beginning.

-          Teach children how to read correctly difficult words.

-          Improves the orthography in older ages.

The students that learn English with Jolly Phonics get a bigger capacity for reading and writing in English than previous generations. I have put before this little explanation a video where we can learn all the fonemes and the gestures for teaching our students English:
